Love Living in Narberth, Pembrokeshire, West Wales :-
I saw a demonstration of lost wax casting while still in school. Wax and fire, it seemed like a cross between alchemy and magic – I had to know more.
I spent 3 years at the School of Jewellery and Silversmithing in the heart of the jewellery quarter in Birmingham, learning my skills, the very start of my jewellery making journey.
I was really lucky when I moved to London to work in the studio of Andrew Grima HRH, which was a wonderful introduction to working with large precious stones and deep textures, that was just the beginning.
I worked in some other studios on the way to setting up my own studio and I have never looked back, having moved to Pembrokeshire 25 years ago this is now my home, I have been working and creating my own style of jewellery inspired by the colours of the land, sea and sky of Pembrokeshire. I love combining a mixture of metals and textures finishing pieces with a satin or matt ‘polish’ that allows the metals to be seen in all their glory and really ‘shine’.
I love collecting anything wild that catches my eye, be it a texture, pod, seed, unfurling leaf, lichens or foundling along the way, sometimes capturing them in my work.
I hope you enjoy browsing through my site or even feel moved to own a piece.
