Furious Fish - gone wild.
What’s happening
Having moved on from running the popular jewellery shop Furious Fish in Narberth I’m finally emerging the other side.
We’ve moved into the wilds of Martletwy near the Cleddau estuary in Pembrokeshire, started a garden, set up a new studio, while continuing to develop my own work , having exhibitions, supplying galleries etc.
At the moment I’m focusing on my new range - Earthscape, based on ancient landscape viewed from above. This has led to a collaboration of idea’s with artist/illustrator Jackie Morris, interpreting some of her images from her books and paintings and combining them with my Earthscape range.
I enjoy using all kinds of materials including both precious and semi precious metals and stones and am equally at home working with gold and diamonds as glass and copper.
Starting with sheet metal I shape, textures, form and colour each piece by hand in different ways. Other embellishments may be added, this could be freshwater pearls (one of my favourites), a shell, stone or other found thing.
Living 5 miles from the sea and the famous Pembrokeshire coastal path much of my inspiration comes from the sea shore, beach combing, rock pooling, swimming, walking or just being.
Open studio
My studio is open for visitors to see me and my jewellery Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s Easter to Christmas, other times by arrangement please.
Do phone to make sure I’m here before travelling any distance.
