Queen Raven brooch
This Queen Raven brooch was created using textured silver, brass, copper and 18ct yellow gold, incorporating textures like warm-rain, spiral-whisper and sea-spray to bring alive the ancient landscape which inspired this piece, when strip farming was a thing, the silver Queen Raven, queen of the sky sits up tall in the trees over looking her domaine seeing everything………….

I use eco silver - all my jewellery is created using recycled silver.
Made to last - I use strong stainless steel wire for the pin and a well made ‘C’ catch to hold it firmly in place.
Techniques -
Roller Printing To create the textures I take a previously etched piece of sheet metal, placing the softened silver sheet on top then pass it though metal rollers transfering the image from the brass plate onto the silver one, which I then use in my designs.
Oxidisation - The silver texture I’ve created has been darkened using liver of sulphur, the darkness is then removed from some areas creating highlights making the texture show up better and have more depth.
Verdigris - The copper - red is a surface verdigris created using fire and water, alchemy or magic?
Packaging - The brooch comes in a square black box with black velvet interior, my signature in matt silver is across the front, carefully raffia wrapped..
Delivery - When I have this brooch in stock I can send out the same day, otherwise please allow a week for making longer if you can, that said I always do have them ready when you need them, just let me know,
